A postcard from... Furzey Gardens, New Forest

Today we visited Furzey Gardens in the New Forest.  Hidden away among the trees and bushes were tiny fairy doors, each with a sprinkling of sparkly fairy dust!  There was a fairy school house and even a fairy ferry service to find along the way.  We walked around the pond and found a feline friend who either fancied a spot of fishing or a drink of water!

The first signs of spring were all around us, snowdrops covering the ground, blossom on trees, even daffodils starting to appear.

Looking out into the fields we saw sheep, donkeys and alpacas, all grazing alongside each other.

Dotted around the gardens were the most amazing 'dens' and tree houses, plus a couple of 'bug hotels'.  We all had a magical day and will definitely return in the warmer weather when the flowers are in full bloom and to look out for the rest of the fairy doors.  The lovely thing is there's no particular fairy 'trail', so you really need to search for them which I think is much more fun and keeps the little ones entertained for longer!
