It was a beautiful day when we arrived at The Needles. Looking out from the viewpoint there was not a cloud in sight, but as we walked towards The Needles, cloud quickly covered the path ahead of us.
The sight of the clouds rolling down the hillside above us was quite something and although we didn't get to see The Needles from up high, the walk was still worth while.
On our way back, it was great to look down at the cliffs of Alum Bay, where the various colours of sand are collected for the sand shop. Here we filled glass shapes with layers of sand - something I remember doing when I was a similar age to my daughter!
And of course there was time for a game of crazy golf afterwards!
