Another day at Exbury Gardens and another full memory card and exhausted camera battery! We had a lovely time here back in the summer and were excited to see how everything had changed and was now full of rich autumn colour.
One of the highlights today was Exbury's Ghost Train. Staff got into the Halloween spirit by dressing up and performing a phantomime and the steam train rode past scarecrows, skeletons and scary sculptures. It was perfect for the little ones - spooky but not too terrifying. The Pickle's face says it all!
We were surprised to see so many flowers still in bloom in the Sundial Garden and even more surprised at how many butterflies and bees were around (considering tomorrow is the start of November!)
The ground was also covered in all kinds of interesting fungi, petals and beautifully coloured leaves.
As always, The Princess and The Pickle (and Daddy!) loved running around in all the open space, crossing the stepping stones and having fun.
We had a fangtastic Halloween and are already looking forward to visiting Exbury again when it reopens after the winter. You can see a few more photos from our day in my Facebook album.
