The Princess and The Pickle were sent some fruit nectar juice drinks to try from Appy Food and Drinks. They come in packs of 4 and are available in 3 different flavours with popular characters on the cartons. Apples and Summer Berries flavour has Peppa Pig packaging, Orange has Spongebob Squarepants and Apple and Blackcurrant has Ninja Turtles. Each carton contains 200ml and comes with a straw. The difference I noticed with these juice drinks is that they contain 50% spring water and 50% natural juice. There is no added sugar and nothing artificial. They are sweetened with Stevia - a naturally sourced sugar substitute which has no calories and doesn't raise blood sugar levels. They have proved a big hit in The Princess and The Pickle's lunch boxes this week. We also took some on a bike ride today and they were very refreshing in the heat. I've tried the Apple and Summer Berries and the Orange flavours myself and I thought they both tasted very nice. There's no chance of me trying the Apple and Blackcurrant flavour though - they have Ninja Turtles on the front and The Pickle is not letting anyone else near those (they were always bound to be a hit with him!)
On the back of each carton is a QR code to scan which takes you to the Appy App. Here you can scan the pictures on the packaging and watch the 'magic' happen! You can also customise photos using fun props and save the finished image, share on Twitter or via email. The Princess and The Pickle really enjoyed using the app and found it easy to use.
